Health and Safety

We are committed to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of anyone who works at or visits our offices or works on our sites. We also have a responsibility to contribute positively to health and safety issues when working on client projects, along with other consultants and contractors. We are committed to a Zero AFR – with no serious staff injury reported in 10 years.

Environmental

We understand we play a significant role as a leading advisor to our clients. We know that clients want to reduce their impact on the environment and specifically their buildings to use less energy and produce less CO2, use less water and create less waste in construction and operation. They look to us to take a lead on environmental issues sustainability and help them to achieve their goals. To do this we focus internally and externally on the Environment and Sustainability so that becomes “business as usual” rather than something exceptional. Unlike many of our competitors we have a separate Environmental policy as we feel it important and should not be subsumed into a Sustainability policy.

Sustainability

Our Sustainability policy is read alongside our Environmental and while it includes Environmental issues it expands on how we manage Financial and People elements of Sustainability.

Quality

We believe in the significance of client satisfaction, quality-based management and a culture of progressive development within our companies, for a sustainable success. We set quality objectives across our whole organisation that will be measured and regularly reported upon.

Management Information Systems

Information and data is the fundamental component of any project and we understand our responsibility to ensure we: provide appropriate, accurate and up-to-date information, when people request it, make information available to those who have a good reason to see it, take appropriate measures to protect information, ensure that information created, collected and stored is proportionate to the business need, and that it is retained only for as long as it is needed.

Equality and Diversity

We know our success is a direct result of the experience and quality of our people. We are committed to focusing our employment procedures and practices on maximising the potential of each unique individual. We believe this is best achieved by developing our employees’ talents, whilst recognising their differences. By treating people fairly and equally and by accepting and embracing their diversity, we can also improve our market competitiveness, foster innovation, enhance our corporate social responsibility and create an inclusive and positive working environment for all employees.

Staff Well-Being

Our staff are our greatest asset and we want them to be healthy, motivated and happy. This policy set out what we will do to help our people and what we expect from them. This policy extends our health and Safety Policy into the personal life of our people for all our benefits.

Fire Safety Risk

As part of our health and safety we have adopted a fire safety risk form which must be completed monthly.
